Rene J Herrera

Rene J Herrera began studying traditional Kung Fu at the age of 4 under Master Tim Wright until the age of 10 when he received his black sash. He then trained at Championship Martial Arts Academy under Master Jianhua Guo and Master Anthony Marquez. To this day, he continues to train under Master Anthony Marquez at Extreme Kung Fu/Wushu Training Center. Rene has competed locally, nationally, and internationally. He has won numerous Grand Championships locally, and he is an 8-time national champion. Rene is also a 3-time World Champion, winning a Gold medal in a U.S. World Championship, a gold medal in Athens, Greece, and another one in Cyprus, Greece. Rene is currently studying to become a doctor specializing in sports medicine at Loyola University Chicago.
